Novel Edits Complete & Next Story Brainstorming

I've officially completed all of the minor edits for the now-completed novel, and I'm moving on to the next step: querying. It's not something I've done before, so it'll be interesting to see how it goes. There are a few things I need to do before the actual "querying" part—like revisiting the synopsis and writing an actual query letter. I don't anticipate those taking very long, though.
In other fiction news, I've begun working on the next long story. I pulled the story seed from an idea I had a long time ago, and I think it's safe to say that the seed has sprouted and is slowly growing. I've been scratching out notes digitally and in a notebook.
